The town of Kula is located in the heart of western Turkey, south-east of Ghiordes. Its rugs are greatly influenced by those made in Ghiordes and feature the typical prayer motif, even though the Kula rugs are readily distinguishable. The Kula rugs are usually made entirely of good quality wool with medium density knots.
